Tanote Bay lies just 4.5 km from Mae Haad. It's an ideal base for exploring the best dive sites on Koh Tao. By the way, the bay takes its name from the "Tanot" palm, a rare species of palm found only in this quiet part of the island.
The 200-meter sandy beach is framed by majestic rock formations. It opens onto a crystal-clear sea teeming with tropical fish and coral reefs. That's why Tanote Bay is a must for anyone who loves the underwater world – whether you're snorkeling or diving.

My husband and I did our refresher course with Martina here. We felt at ease from the very beginning – everything was explained really well and we felt well looked after. We then joined two more boat dives and were lucky enough to see a turtle. The groups are pleasantly small, everyone was very relaxed and friendly. The dive area here is truly beautiful, with a wide variety of fish, intact corals, and not too many divers.

Everyone at the dive school is incredibly friendly and helpful, the equipment is high quality and available for every body size. I can only highly recommend this dive school – also because they were always very flexible if you spontaneously didn't want to dive, or suddenly did. The instructors are very professional, we learned so much and always felt well looked after.

Great dive school. I did a refresher and the Advanced (5 dives) plus two fun dives there. From the first email contact, to on-site communication via WhatsApp, to the in-person care – completely satisfied. Great bay right next to the dive school for practice dives (also perfect for fun dives, e.g. the sunken catamaran 🤩) and excellent boat dives. Fun dives & single dives
Requirement: Open Water Diver or equivalent. Last dive within 12 months. If longer, we recommend a Scuba Refresh (2,100 THB)—half a day, and you’re back in shape immediately.
